I bought this stamp set used, because the second I saw it, I knew this was the card I wanted to make with it. What a good reason to venture out and enter a new challenge. :)
The stamp set used is Iconic Christmas. I sponged white ink on kraft card stock, then, then sponged a yellow ink for the glow from the lamp post. After that, I sponged the sky in different shades of blue. The couple, and lamp post were stamped in black, and the wreath was added using green embossing powder. I stamped a series of snowflakes in white, and then finished with an embossed and die cut white card stock, added a glittery ribbon as a finishing touch, and mounted on red card stock.
I would love to hear your thoughts, or suggestions.
Until next time - Enjoy!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Christmas Floral
Well, isn't this a scary sight to behold. My first attempt at a blog, without having any clue as to what I'm doing. :)
That said - this weeks challenge over on the Mod Squad blog is to create a Christmas-y Floral card. Sparkle N Sprinkle is our enabler for this weeks prize. For my card, I used their Christmas Poinsettia image, and a sentiment from Seasons Greetings. Since I'm all about glitz and glam, and not so much red and green, I colored the veins with Copic BV34, and then laid on a healthy dose of Sparkle N Sprinkle Sparkling Snow glitter. I then fussy cut the image (No more, thanks to my new Scan N Cut 2!), and popped it up over the corner of my window. My sentiment is stamped on an irridescent card stock, which was sponged with Memento Sky Blue ink, and then covered with a Spellbinders window die cut. The sentiment is stamped in black Staz-On ink.
I hope you can play along with us this week.
