This card is for Judy's "Anything But..." challenge over at Mod Squad.  Her challenge was to make anything but a Christmas card.  My card consists of one of the pretty trees from KSS.  My dies are from Spellbinders, and Cheery Lynn Designs, and my papers and ink (Sweet Blush, Autumn Rose, Scarlet Jewel, and Dark Chocolate) are from Papertry Ink (Scarlet Jewel may well be my new favorite color.  The picture doesn't do it justice, and it's indescribable.  Not red.  Not pink.  Not purple. Not burgundy.  Not rose.   Somewhere in between.  Love it.  Love the challenge.. (...and now, since I just remembered I have it, I'm going to run and put the cute little tire swing, also by KSS on my tree!)

All That Glitters

Hi, everyone!  This weeks challenge over at Mod Squad is All That Glitters.  Since I can never resist bling, this was easy-peasyThis cute set is from Sunny Studio, and is called Santa's Helpers.  I love this little dog; he reminds me of my own Niko (which most of you have seen no less than 1,448,854 times). :)

For the background, I heat embossed little paw prints all over, and added glittery snowflakes.  The image, I colored with Copcs, and make into a shaker using PPP sequins, and white snowflakes from my stash.  The box the little doggie is sitting in is paper pieced with white glittered card stock. The frame is a MFT pierced circles frame.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Enjoy!

I finally got around to making a color chart for my Zig Real Color Brush Pens (Go, me!).  This is what comes of  finally knowing what colors you have, and I kinda think it's pretty stinkin' cute, if I do say so myself.

The stamp set is from Altenew, and it's called Parisian Motifs - it's a set I've wanted for awhile, and finally just got.  (The whole reason I desperately wanted it was so I could paint the flowers in shades of blue).  The colors used were Blue Grey, Light Grey, Peacock Blue, Cornflour (Yes, that's how they spell it.  LOL)  Blue, and Dull Blue.  I embossed white embossing powder on 140lb watercolor card stock, mounted on black card stock, added a layer of gold glimmer paper, and mounted to a dark blue card base.  The sentiment is embossed in gold.

Some day I'll get the hang of thig blog-thingy. ;)

Howdy!

My card this week is for the Mod Squad Challenge being hosted by Barbara Campbell, and my recipe uses 6 the 9 "Ingredients" on her list, which are Favorite Color (Black/White), Glitter or Bling (I used both), Flower (poinsettia), Rubber Stamp (Sentiment) and Die Cuts.

I cut poinsettia leaves using the Cheery Lynn poinsettia die, and then embossed them using my Swiss Dot embossing folder.  I sponged some of the dots with black ink, and then rubbed VersaMagic over them, and attached holographic glittered embossing powder.  I then cut black and white small flourishes using the Cheery Lynn die, sprayed them with glitter, and stacked them, slightly off center under the poinsettia, mounted the whole arrangement to a piece of white card stock, bordered by black, and then attached to a white card base.

Thanks for looking!
